BirdSO Invitational is a Division B and Division C miniSO invitational first held under Bay Area Science Olympiad in Northern California in its first year. In 2022, the competition was registered under Southern California, and will host two competitions: a miniSO competition in December, and a Satellite competition in February and March.

2021 Season

The invitational was first held under Northern California, more specifically under the Bay Area Science League regional. In 2021, the competition held 62 teams in division B and 121 teams in division C. Medals were awarded to the top 6 teams in division B and top 12 teams in division C. 2022 Season

Hosted under Southern California Science Olympiad, both a Mini SO and a Satellite SO competition will be held. Announced in late August, all profits from the competition fund the 2022 National Tournament.
