The 2022 Wisconsin State Competition was held on April 23rd. This was the first state tournament to be run completely using the traditional in-person model in Wisconsin since 2019. All 23 national events were run in both divisions as well as the five Wisconsin-only events. In both divisions, teams were able to choose 5 events ahead of time that would not count towards their team score. Regionals resumed in Wisconsin in 2022 so qualification for the state tournament also resumed. Exhibition (JV) teams and audited events did not displace other teams. The winners of each tournament qualified for the 2022 National Tournament.
Division B Results
Hamilton Middle School won their 12th consecutive state title. The top five teams remained the same since 2019, with the only change being Boyceville and Menomonie switching places, with Boyceville Middle School finishing in the top 5 for the 10th consecutive time, Menomonie Middle School doing so for the 8th consecutive time, Eagle School of Madison doing so for the 6th consecutive time, and Hudson Middle School equaling their best-ever performance of 5th.
Regional Champions are highlighted in green.
