The Division B and Division C State Tournaments were held on April 10, 2010 at UW-Madison. This tournament was held as a combined tournament in preparation for the University of Wisconsin - Madison hosting the 2011 National Science Olympiad Tournament.
At this tournament Hamilton Middle School won their first ever state tournament in only their first ever appearance. Eagle School of Madison finished as the state runner-up for the first time in school history. Menomonie Middle School earned the third place trophy, falling from the state championship they earned the previous year.
At the Division C state tournament, Madison West High School recaptured the state tournament by defeating Menomonie High School in a tie-breaker, earning nine gold medals to Menomonie's four gold medals. This was the second time the state championship was decided by a tie-breaker in Wisconsin history. Boyceville High School finished as the third place team for the second consecutive year.
