At the Division B state tournament Cherokee Heights Middle School won the state title for the first time in school history. Morse Middle School finished as the state runner-up, snapping a three year state tournament title winning streak. DC Everest Middle School earned the third place trophy for the second time in school history and first time since 1987.

The Division C State Tournament was held at Ripon College. Madison West High School won the state tournament for the third consecutive year. Washington Park High School earned the state runner-up trophy, rising from a fourth place finish at the state tournament the previous year. Chippewa Falls High School finished as the third place team for the first time in school history.
