The Division B State Tournament was held at UW-Oshkosh on April 28, 2001. At this tournament Morse Middle School won the state title for the second consecutive year and ninth time overall. Rice Lake Middle School finished as the state runner-up for the first time in school history. Menomonie Middle School earned the third place trophy for the second consecutive year and fourth time overall.
The Division C State Tournament was held at UW-Stout in Menomonie on March 31, 2001. Madison West High School won their first state tournament title since 1997 and seventh state tournament title overall. Menomonie High School earned the state runner-up trophy for the first time in school history. Neenah High School finished as the third place team for the fourth time in school history. The 2001 state tournament would mark the final time Neenah High School would finish in the top three at the state tournament.

There were no regional tournaments for Division B in Wisconsin until 2010.
There were no regional tournaments for Division C in Wisconsin until 2004.
