The 2002 Pennsylvania State Competition was held at Juniata College.
This tournament is notable for having a three-way tie for second place in Division C. State College Area High School won the tiebreaker with five gold medals to earn a bid to the national tournament, beating out Fleetwood Area High School's one and Penncrest High School's zero. It is also the highest score of any team from Pennsylvania in the 21st century to qualify for the national tournament.
