The Western Ohio Regional is a regional tournament hosted at Piqua High School and Junior High School in Piqua, Ohio. Prior to the Junior High School opening in 1999 the competition was spread between the high school and the nearby Joint Vocational Center [JVS, now renamed UVCC - Upper Valley Career Center] and Edison Community College.

a Due to the continuing precautions against the coronavirus outbreak, four regions were combined into one of two "super-regionals" for the 2021 Ohio Regional Tournaments. The Western Region one of the two combined, virtual tournaments- the 2021 Western Ohio Virtual Combined Regional (this article has the combined results and additional details). Many schools did not field a team this year. The results on the table are teams from the counties that normally compete in this area. For clarity their overall "super-region" place is listed before their points.
b Due to the 2019-20 Coronavirus outbreak, the Central, Northwestern, Western, and Eastern regions were combined into one of two "super-regionals" hosted by this (the Western Ohio) Region. Many schools did not field a team this year. The results on the table are teams from the counties that normally compete in this area. For clarity their overall "super-regionals" place is listed before their points.
c 35 teams total competed (two were no shows), 13 were from this region (one was a no show).
d 26 teams total advanced to the 2021 Ohio State Tournament, 9 were from this region. All teams from the "super-regionals" that could qualify for State did - schools with two teams can only send one team to State. Since there were 7 schools that had second teams and two teams that were no shows resulted in 9 of the 35 teams not getting to go to State - this left all 25 of the other teams take one of the 26 State bids.
