Due to continuing complications and precautions around the coronavirus outbreak, the qualifying Regional tournaments for the 2021 Ohio State Tournament were virtual and the normal 8 Regions were combined into two "super-regions". The Northeastern Region (Region 1) hosted Regions 4 (Northern Region), 5 (Southwestern Region), and 7 (Southeastern Region); while the Western Region (Region 2) hosted the other 4 regions at the Western Virtual Combined Regional. The tournament was held virtually on scilympiad on March 6th, 2021. Due to its larger size 24 Division B schools and 25 Division C schools qualified for the State Tournament. Many schools did not field teams this season.
