Methodology
Disclaimer: The methodology below is how I generally edit regional pages. This is not official by any means. Hopefully it can give you some insight into editing regional pages.
Wiki Page Made
This step shouldn't be too difficult! Just make the wiki page. The content you add to the wiki page when you create it does not matter. I will usually include a short description of the regional tournament, its infobox, and possibly the Division B and Division C results from the past year.
Proper Lead Section
This step involves adding a proper amount of material to the lead section of a regional tournament. As noted in a Wikipedia article on what to do and what not to do in lead sections, the lead section should contain information that will be featured later on in the article. A simple way to do this is to:
- 1. First, write a sentence or two about the tournament as a whole. This could include mentions of the divisions the tournament serves, where it is held, or what part of the state the tournament serves.
- 2. Browse through the article and write some information on each section of the article.
- 3. Read over your work, checking for any errors.
Don't stress too much about making a great lead section, or making it long. 3-4 sentences of readable content is fine.
Infobox
This step involves adding the regional infobox to the wiki page, and customizing it for the page. To add it, just add the following code to the page, near the top:

"Blank Space" Infobox Placements
This section covers places in the wiki code where you can add the regional infobox. This section is called "Blank Space" Infobox Placements because placing the infoboxes using the following techniques will leave a lot of blank space.

"Less Space" Infobox Placements
Unlike the techniques used in the section prior, placing the infoboxes using the technique below will leave less blank space on the wiki page. This involves placing the description in the left table cell in a one-row table, and placing the infobox in the right table cell.

Results
This step focuses on adding results for the tournament. The same procedure can be followed for both divisions.
There are two main tables used for results on regional pages, the "basic" table and the "advanced" table. Either table can be used for a wiki page, but the second table is encouraged, because it provides more information.
Basic Table
The basic table, is obviously, a basic table. This table includes the first, second, and third place schools, along with their place at the state tournament.
Specific steps for adding a basic results table to a page are:
- 1. Find the tournament champion, along with the number of points they scored at the tournament.
- 2. Repeat step 1 for the second and third place. There should be three unique schools in the champion, runner-up, and third place positions. If one school has two or more teams that take up two or three of these positions, see One School, Multiple Teams Note.
- 3. Find the results for the state tournament for each school in the table. If a school brought more than one team to the state tournament, use the best result.
Advanced Table
This results table should be used on a wiki page because of the amount of information it provides, compared to the basic results table. Unlike the prior table, it includes the date of the tournament, the number of teams, and the number of state bids.
Specific steps for adding this table are:
- 1. Find the tournament champion, along with the number of points they scored at the tournament.
- 2. Repeat step 1 for the second and third place. There should be three unique schools in the champion, runner-up, and third place positions. If one school has two or more teams that take up two or three of these positions, see One School, Multiple Teams Note.
- 3. Find the date of the tournament, the number of teams that participated, and the number of state bids for the tournament.
- 4. Find the results for the state tournament for each school in the table. If a school brought more than one team to the state tournament, use the best result.
One School, Multiple Teams Note
Sometimes, one school brings multiple teams to a regional tournament that score very well. In this case, you may need to add a note to the second or third place cell that the school had another team that scored well.
To add a superscript note, use something similar to the following code.

Here's an example:
In this case, Boca Raton Community High School scored two times in the top 3 places. Thus, the school will be placed in the "Champion" position on the table, and a note will be added to the "Third Place" cell, explaining that Boca Raton Community High School was the true third place. This translates to:
- 1 Boca Raton Community High School's second team (Team 2) came third with 171 points
Full Results
If the results can be obtained in a file format (such as a PDF or an Excel Spreadsheet), they should be uploaded to the wiki page in this region. They can be added in any design/format you want.

Participating Schools
This step involves adding a list of schools that participated at the tournament. This is not the same as a list of the teams that participated at the tournament. If a school brought multiple teams to a regional, the school should only be listed once on the list.
There are two ways to add a participating schools list. The first is the "No Columns" method and the second is the "Columns" method. To preserve space, it is recommended that you use the "Columns" method when adding the Participating Schools list.
You can also add a "Last Updated: XXXX" (where XXXX is a year) message to show when the list was last updated. I prefer not to, but if that is your editing style - go for it.
"No Columns" Method
This method of adding a list of Participating Schools places the list of participating Division B and Division C schools straight down, instead of using equal-width columns.

This method of adding a Participating Schools list to the regional page uses two columns of equal width.
Warning: If you add a "Last Updated: XXXX" message using this format, make sure to add the message after the <div style="clear: left;"></div> tags.

Events
Some regional may serve trial events or have events that are not held. If a regional has consistently avoided holding trial events, or has consistently held every event each season, then these sections may be skipped. Both appear very similar in layout.
Trial Events
Trial events are events that are held at a tournament which are not part of the normal event list for that season. They do not count towards a team's overall score.

Events Not Held
Events not held are events that should be held at a tournament, but aren't for various reasons. These events do not include events that were not scored because of errors that happened on tournament day. These events were planned to not be held at the tournament.
Similar to the Trial Events list, you only need to add this to a page if you feel it is necessary.

Regions Template
This step involves creating a regions template, and adding it to every regional page. You can use the State Regions template to create an element displaying the state's regions. To do this, add {{State Regions|state=STATE}} at the bottom of the page. An example for Florida can be seen below.

Categorization
Every regional page should be categorized with the [[Category: Regional Pages]] attribute. This should be placed near the bottom of the page, similar to the Regions Template.
