Kat Hogan competes for West Michigan Aviation Academy in Region 12 in Division C in Michigan. As a middle school student she competed for Chandler Woods Charter Academy where she spent 3 years on the A-Team. Her top finishes at State have been: 2019 - 3rd Sounds of Music, 5th Boomilever; 2017 - 5th Mission Possible, 6th Fast Facts; 2016 - 6th Wind Power. In her spare time she enjoys playing piano, acting and equestrian events -- more about Kat

Trivia

  • While working on Mission Possible in middle school, Kat handled lead fishing sinkers, bare-handed. ...until Mr. Anderson noticed they were LEAD.
  • As a 6th grader, Kat was present when Nick G. took a U. of Mich plastic beverage cup and, without a template or any planning, cut a new set of blades for the Wind Power device. These blades live in infamy to this day because no one could duplicate them or improve them, no matter now hard Kat, Kira or anyone else tried. Everyone can talk smack about how great they were at test taking in the Wind Power event, but, it was these blades that demolished the competition right up to Regionals, Kat's 7th grade year. After that, other schools managed to improve their blades and CW's reign as Wind Power champions came to a tragic end.
