Teams from other countries occasionally participate in tournaments in the United States. These countries include:

1995-1996
- Joseph Howe Senior Public School from Toronto, Ontario, Canada placed 47th (B) at the 1996 National Tournament.
1996-1997
- Zion Heights Middle School from Toronto, Ontario, Canada placed 47th (B) at the 1997 National Tournament. Lorne Park Secondary School placed 45th (C).
1997-1998
- Zion Heights Middle School from Toronto, Ontario, Canada placed 51st (B) at the 1998 National Tournament. Lorne Park Secondary School placed 49th (C).
2011-2012
- Saitama Prefectural Urawa Senior High School participated in Division C at the 2012 National Tournament.
2012-2013
- Aichi Prefectural Okazaki High School participated in Division C at the 2013 National Tournament.
2013-2014
- Mie Prefectural Ise Senior High School participated in Division C at the 2014 National Tournament.
2014-2015
- Shibuya Kyoiku Gakuen Makuhari Junior High School and Shibuya Kyoiku Gakuen Makuhari Senior High School from Japan participated in both divisions at the 2015 National Tournament.
2015-2016
- Kaiyo Academy from Japan participated in Division C at the 2016 National Tournament
2016-2017
- Gifu High School from Japan participated in Division C at the 2017 National Tournament.
2017-2018
- Eikou High School from Japan participated in Division C at the 2018 National Tournament.
2018-2019
- Richmond Secondary School, from British Columbia, Canada, participated at the 2019 Southwest Washington Regional, division C. The team was scored as an exhibition team, but if not scored as an exhibition team, would have placed 13th in a pool of 17 teams.
- Kaiyo Academy from Japan participated in Division C at the 2019 National Tournament.
2019-2020
- Two schools from Peru, Colegio de Peru San Pedro and Colegio de Peru Villa Caritas, participated at the Golden Gate Invitational in California. The former placed 53rd, and the latter 54th. 55 teams participated at the tournament.
- Richmond Secondary School from British Columbia, Canada, registered for the Eastern Washington Regional. However, the tournament was cancelled due to the 2019-20 Coronavirus outbreak.
- No Japanese teams participated at the 2020 National Tournament due to the tournament being cancelled for the same reason.
