Westview High School is a Division C school located in Portland, Oregon which qualified for the 2014 National Tournament, its first national berth, at the Oregon State Tournament with a total of 85 points, beating the defending state champion St. Mary's Academy. Since becoming a member of Science Olympiad in 2013, Westview has finished in one of the top two spots for the state, becoming somewhat of an in-state powerhouse school. Most recently, Westview qualified for the 2019 National Tournament, eventually finishing 44th. Though Westview hasn't had an outstanding Nationals performance yet, their ability to qualify as often as they do is still very respected. Westview is fed by many middle schools around the area, the most notable being Stoller Middle School, a consistent Nationals qualifier from Division B. Westview's in-state success should definitely at least be partially attributed to the fact they are fed by another Oregon powerhouse.
