Port Jefferson High School is a Division C team that competes in New York's Eastern Long Island Regional.
Their official name is Earl L. Vandermeulen High School, but they commonly go by Port Jefferson at competition.
They are regulars at the state tournament, having qualified for most of the past decade, with a notable exception being 2018. In 2012 they only placed behind the two dominant teams of Ward Melville High School and Half Hollow Hills High School East. In 2020, they were the 2nd place school after Ward Melville A and B, but were unable to compete at the state tournament due to its cancellation.
