The Minnesota Conference Meets are a defunct system of regional tournaments. In this format, all the schools in the same athletic conference would attend the same regional tournament. This was done in an effort to minimize competition, as there were many schools located within the Minneapolis-St. Paul area and very few throughout the rest of the state. This was also done in an effort to seperate big schools from small schools, in order to let teams compete against other similarly-sized schools. The last known year that this system was used in Minnesota was 2013.
