Fred J. Carnage Magnet Middle School is a Division B team in the state of North Carolina. The team placed first at the 2013 North Carolina State Tournament and 2nd at the 2016 North Carolina State Tournament.
Carnage Middle is located in Raleigh, North Carolina and has participated in Science Olympiad for quite some time, sporting 2 JV teams and a Varsity Team which has gone to the Nationals tournament over three times. Carnage placed in 22nd at the National Tournament in 2016, earning 2 positions in the top 10 (5th in Invasive Species and 7th in Reach for the Stars). Most recently, at the 2017 Nationals held at Wright State University, Carnage earned the first place in Scrambler and second place in Ecology. They placed 27th overall in 2017. At the 2021 National Tournament, they placed 24th overall and placed top 10 in 3 events (8th in Digital Structures, 4th in Road Scholar, and 10th in Water Quality).
