The 2021 River Hill Invitational was run from Sunday, February 27th, 2021 to March 6th, 2021. The tournament was virtual (miniSO) and hosted on the Scilympiad platform The tournament is the largest competition run in the state of Maryland. The tournament had no registration fee in order to cater to schools who are unable to pay the high fees of other virtual invitationals. It followed the week-long asynchronous format (inspired by the BirdSO Invitational).
