About This User

raytay has been a part of Science Olympiad since 2017, starting out as an inexperienced seventh grader who just wanted to fill their Choice Period slot with the most intriguing option. Throughout the season, a love for this competition began to swell in their heart, and they have stuck with it ever since. Since their start in 2017, they have participated in many different events, including Rocks and Minerals, Write It Do It, Dynamic Planet, Heredity, Ornithology, Mystery Architecture, Circuit Lab, Water Quality, and Forensics. Some of these events they loved, some they did not love, some they were unsure of, but in the end, it was the learning aspect that mattered the most, not the feelings towards the events in question.

And in terms of medals? They've won a few. Nothing more needs to be said about that.

But the fun doesn't end at Science Olympiad. raytay participates in multiple choirs at their school, as well as partaking in vocal lessons and performance band at School of Rock. raytay also likes to write, draw, read, and indulge in the wonders that are Splatoon 2, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and anime.

Fun Facts:

- raytay owns the entire Percy Jackson/Kane Chronicles/Magnus Chase/Trials of Apollo collection

- They currently have 9 pets: 3 cats, 2 dogs, and 4 chickens

- In choir, they sing Alto 2, but their range extends from Soprano 1 down to Tenor 1 (Tenor 2 on any given day)

- Their favorite color is yellow

- While they enjoy many different music genres, their favorites include hard rock, heavy metal, and pop/rock

- In terms of favorite animals, they love bees, frogs, and birds.
