General Info About Mich:
Hey there fella, I'm Mich. Most people write their bio page using 3rd pov. Mine is more casual, so I shall be that one guy who uses 1st pov. I am part of the Sierra Vista Middle School Black team and I enjoy participating in my first year of SciOly (21-22 season) as a 7th grader. I compete in geo events - Rocks and Minerals, Solar System, and Dynamic Planet. I used to compete in WIDI, but after multiple catastrophic failures, such as getting dead-last (we don't talk about that) and 30th place (heh...), the coach decides that I am absolutely not WIDI-material. Though it is my first year competing, I am still kinda able to maintain good placements at all my competitions. Special shout-out to all my amazing partners: DDP, jolly, and sweetsummerchild.
My Name(s):
My real name is Michael. However, many (*cough* Mr. Evola) refer to me as "Ziggy". No comment. Other names include: "Miguel", "Michelle", "Zige", and "My Kale".
Other Interests/Hobbies:
Besides doing SciOly and being a nerd, I really enjoy playing tennis, reading, sketching, playing tenor sax, and chatting with friends.

1 - Sierra Vista/Kraemer MS Scrimmage, individual, medal provided
2 - Harvard kinda messed up...provided a tectonics test instead of hydrology --> cancelled
3 - WICI did count towards team score at BirdSO Satellite
4 - Effort put into the event = None
Started reading specs (rules) 5 minutes before the competition and basically used common sense. Absolutely no idea how in the world I earned that medal.
5 - In summary: I died. Basically ruined the team score. Sorry guys :(
yea after that I basically never saw WIDI again
6 - I do not compete in Green Gen lmao I only did the MySO for fun. I didn't wanna put the event in the Trial/Fun Events section so yea
MYSO

My Events (21-22):
Rocks and Minerals
Used to be my fav event (for about 6 months), but then the intense ID irritated me. I still have a huge passion for rocks and minerals. In fact, before I started editing my wiki page, I was messing around with specimens I borrowed from school. They are actually very kool. Look to the bottom for a funny convo between me and my rocks partner :D Our binder is dying and we seem to give up on the event. Let's hope we don't fail at nats :/
Solar System (Exoplanets)
My best and new favorite event (since 2 months ago). Solar is an extremely fun and unique event. Thank goodness it is sticking around next year as well. I firmly believe that astronomy should take up multiple events, just like other areas of science such as bio and physics. Solar is heavily dependent on ID and math, which I'm both trash at. However, I get past those obstacles through my awesome partner (woohoo). He's very big brain. Not including the scrimmage, me and my partner (DDP) have never gotten below 1st place besides 2 invitationals. That's 16 golds. I'm really proud of that. But when you look at my other events they aren't doing so well. (at least compared to other SVMS Black team nerds)
Dynamic Planet (Freshwater)
Ah....it's freshwater. Who doesn't love freshwater? Life is all about ze water.
WIDI
Yea...no. I competed in WIDI for approximately 1-2 months and then stopped. After getting some pretty horrible placements (check out my WIDI section in the medal count) the coach decided to replace me. I guess I am a pure study event guy.
WICI
Basically WIDI but you add in the pain of Onshape (no offense). At the beginning, it was extremely difficult to navigate and move the objects. Now...it is still very frustrating for me. Basically checks the fact that I am not WIDI material.
Green Gen
Okay, I don't do Green Gen. I only did the MySO for funsies. It is pretty easy to pick up, but to reach the next level, you'll need some skillz.
Solar Power
Trial events generally don't have much competition, but it doesn't mean that they are easy. Solar Power is one of those events with a high entry barrier. It requires a good knowledge of thermodynamics and a strong foundation of general sciences.
Linguistics
Jesus Christ. Linguistics is another level. Fun, but difficult as heck. You should check out a practice test.
