KingDJ777 formerly competed for Stephen F Austin High School (in Texas) and was one of their former captains (former president, 2020-21; former co-president, 2019-20; and former secretary, 2018-19). Previously, he competed in Division B for Sartartia Middle School and served as their President. He is also an honorary Seven Lakes High School Science Olympiad member.
KingDJ777 is a Texas state medalist in Chemistry Lab, Ornithology, Protein Modeling, We've Got Your Number, Herpetology (2x), Code Busters, Designer Genes, and Roller Coaster. In the 2020-21 season, KingDJ777 brought his team out-of-state for the first time in the school's history, attending prestigious invitationals such as MIT, Princeton, and Bear SO, and he became a MIT medalist in the events Chemistry Lab, Designer Genes, and Ornithology. He would love to advance to and compete in the national tournament, as he loves Science Olympiad with all his heart, but he also understands that SciOly is a team competition.
KingDJ777 has also amassed significant event supervisor experience for multiple prestigious invitationals:
- Ornithology for the 2022 University of Texas at Austin Regional (TX)
- Ornithology for the 2022 Cornell University Invitational (NY)
- Chemistry Lab for the 2022 Duke University Invitational (NC)
- Ornithology for the 2021 Seven Lakes Invitational (TX)
- Ornithology for the 2021 University of Texas at Austin Invitational (TX)
- Chemistry Lab for the 2021 River Hill Invitational (MD)
- Botany for the 2021 Mira Loma Invitational (CA)
- Disease Detectives for the 2020 CyFalls Invitational (TX)
KingDJ777 is now an undergraduate at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, and serves as the Safety Officer for Science Olympiad at Cornell (2021-22). In his free time, he still loves to go bird-watching and giving back to the Science Olympiad community!
