I am okay with being overruled on this, but I actually preferred having this just be Thermodynamics, and having Keep the Heat redirect to it. With the slash, it becomes too close to the Event/Topic format, IMO. However, if a plurality of mods/users feel otherwise, I'm fine keeping this new nomenclature. I was unsure about the slash for the same reason. I considered using an ampersand, what do you think about that? --Unome (talk) 19:27, 6 July 2017 (UTC)

That still feels clunky to me, but again, I am willing to be overruled on this one. In my mind it'd be the same issue with Designer Genes and Circuit Lab, where the event is essentially the same, with only the name acting as the difference. EastStroudsburg13 (talk) 23:05, 6 July 2017 (UTC)

Heredity really shouldn't be placed together with Designer Genes at all, there are significant differences. A lot of stuff covered in DG (e.g. operons, gel electrophoresis and related tools) isn't a part of Heredity at all. Circuit Lab/Shock Value definitely had some B/C differences as well (I believe AC was Div C only my memory is messed up. The differences involve logic gates and a few other advanced concepts), but that would probably function fine as a single page, just with a note for any differences (not that there's any point in doing that now of course). --Unome (talk) 14:09, 7 July 2017 (UTC)

I know this is not the page for discussing either DG or Heredity, but do you see an issue in having a section called "C Division Topics" in Heredity, or is it better to separate the two once they roll around again? If there's enough difference it may be worth it to separate them and just have overlap (ala Forensics/Crime Busters or Simple/Compound Machines) but I don't know very well the level of overlap between the two. DG covers Heredity, plus a large number of extra topics related to nucleic acid biochem and lab practices (there's significantly more info with these than is in the Heredity topics). I'm thinking separate pages, with a small section on DG about Heredity stuff that also links to the article for Heredity. --Unome (talk) 14:56, 9 July 2017 (UTC)

In that case, that makes sense to me. That can probably be done at any point between now and when the events come back, as they aren't urgent right now.

In terms of this page, I think my preference of titles that include both Thermo and KTH is going to be Thermodynamics & Keep the Heat. It feels a little long and clunky, but I probably prefer it over using the slash. --EastStroudsburg13 (talk) 15:11, 11 July 2017 (UTC)

We spent so much effort discussing this only to have the name changed >.> I guess I'll change the names again... --Unome (talk) 13:12, 13 August 2017 (UTC)

Entropy of a Carnot cycle

I'm pretty sure the entropy of a Carnot cycle is always 0 since it's reversible. Anyone know for sure? --UTF-8 U+6211 U+662F (talk) 01:26, 5 January 2018 (UTC)
