Hm... This looks really good but it seems absurdly big. Do we really need the state things in there? The regionals? Those are like official qualification events that don't really interest out of state people. Invitationals on the other hand =).
Who is that? and yes it is good to have states and such so that you can compare state times and also see when other compete--Robotman09 09:22, 7 August 2009 (CDT)
Page Use
Hey so every so often I stumble upon this page, and by now it is very outdated. For the future of this page, I think we have to consider some of the following options:
- Delete the page
- Remove all invitationals to the page and add a link to Invitational
- Keep invitationals but keep them all together by region as opposed to separating them by state
- Remove all dates from the page
- Remove all external links from the page
- Keep using the page but maintain it better than it has been
- Consider using a different format for the page, such as a table
- Other ideas, potentially
If we do keep it around, we should figure out a way to integrate it into the network better than it already has been. Anyway, I want to open this up to everyone else, see what other thoughts are on this. I think a page like this could have potential if people think it could be used, but if people think it's redundant, we can scale it down or delete it. What do you guys think of making 3 tables organized by region (looks like theres 7 to me)- one for division B invitationals, one for division C invitationals, and one for Regionals? By not just listing all the regions after each other It would decrease the length of the page and keeping separate tables for b/c invitationals and regionals would keep it organized. As of now I think the thought is that if anyone wants to make alternatives to what this page can be, they can do so on their user pages or create sandboxes for them. And then by the start of next season, we can either replace this page (which is not really getting utilized and does not really fill a demonstrated need anymore) with the new structure, or delete this page.
