Fox Lane High School is a Division C school located in Bedford, New York. The school is a part of the Bedford Central School District and competes in the Lower Hudson Regional.
Team Organization
In most years, Fox Lane High School typically has three teams associated with it: Team A, Team B, and Team C.
- Team A is Fox Lane High School's uppermost team, and a large emphasis is placed on high performance in each event and qualifying for the New York State Tournament. The team score is oftentimes more important than scores in individual events. Team A is ideal for students with a high level of commitment to Science Olympiad.
- Team B competitors are also trying to assign students to every event. Team B is ideal for students with a moderate level of commitment to Science Olympiad; high-performing Team B members earning medals may be selected for the State Team (should Team A qualify).
- Team C students are typically specialists focusing on one or a few events; the focus is less on the team score and more on the individual event scores. Team C is ideal for students with a high level of commitment to a particular event. High-performing Team C members earning medals may be selected for the State Team (should Team A qualify).
