Sounds of Music C
-The path of the Administrator is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men.
-Nothing\'s gonna get deleted. We\'re gonna be like three little Fonzies here. And what\'s Fonzie like? Come on, what\'s Fonzie like?
-Cool?
-Correctamundo. And that\'s what we\'re gonna be. We\'re gonna be cool. Now, I\'m gonna count to three, and when I count three, you let go of your mouse, and back away from the keyboard. But when you do it, you do it cool. Ready? One... two... three.

Good question, since the final rules aren't published yet, although information about them is slowly filtering out. To help prevent the spread of misinformation, I'd like to clarify a bit: the rules this year do not require specific types of instruments. You can build whatever types you want, as long as 2 different types are used.

Re: Sounds of Music C
You know what was funny? Jeff Anderson showed us a "sneak peak" at this year's event at states last year. Here's the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hpfYt7vRHuY
Unfortunately, we didnt realize it was a joke until after the loss of hope.

The short description already published on soinc states that all instrument types will be allowed:Starapollo1 wrote:That's what I'd heard, obviously nothing is certain till the rules are out, but this is the rumor i'm most familiar withchalker wrote:quizbowl wrote:Where did you find that out?

Re: Sounds of Music C
sorry about the confusion
1) my coach did not go to the clinic (not that dedicated lol)
2) the new "short event descriptions" or something like that on soinc.org said something about "instruments of any type"

Re: Sounds of Music C
Quick question. You said that there's no restrictions on instruments. does that include range, or just type?
