Physics F=ma and Local Chemistry exam

So, I wanted to get serious with Physics or Chemistry Olympiads. I don't have time to pick both of them because I'm trying to qualify for AIME already. Do you guys think I should choose one over another? Also, can you give me any good book recommendations for Chem or Physics? ( Note that I'm a beginner with no prior experience to either Physics or Chemistry. )

I'd say pick the one you enjoy more. I know it can be hard to figure that out, but really just study both for an hour and see which one you enjoyed studying more. If you can't figure that out, then I'd just say go with the F=ma exam since you're doing AIME and physics would probably be more closely related to math than chemistry. As for books, I'm not experienced enough to say which ones are good and which ones aren't, but you should make sure you fully understand the material instead of memorizing it.
This is a bit off-topic, but don't overwhelm yourself with ECs and drop the ones you aren't really passionate about. It'll make life a whole lot better for you and you'll likely do far better if you focus on a few ECs that are interrelated with each other and follow your interests instead of spreading yourself thin with lots of ECs that you aren't as passionate about and that don't really cross over in terms of material. Just thought I'd mention that since you said you didn't have much time due to other ECs taking it up.
