Glider Clinic
Glider Clinic
I posted this in the ELG forum, but decided it's relevant here to. While this event is for gliders, all of the organizers are experienced with all forms of flying, so Wright Stuff students also have an opportunity to learn from some of the foremost experts in free flight competition.
Jeffrey Trail Middle School has organized a glider workshop with J&H Aerospace to coincide with their invitational. The class is on January 31, followed by the invitational on February 1. Special guests will include Lee Hines (Sweepette designer, first person EVER to exceed 80 seconds with a hand launched glider, holder of many national records) and Clint Brooks of CB Model Designs. If there has ever been a chance to hear from the experts, this is it!

Re: Glider Clinic
As hoped for, this was a fantastic event and I really hope we can do it again next year. Lee Hines, Don Link, Eugene Drake, Ronnie Espolt, and several other expert fliers showed up and helped make this an amazing experience for 25 students (in other words, the class was fully booked) plus coaches and parents who got the inside scoop on flying indoor gliders. Even though we're not doing gliders next year, we're planning do another division B flying clinic with the Jeffrey Trail invitational. I hope more of y'all can attend or at least hang out with us!
