Hmmm. That remains to be seen. Waiting for Camas Invite results to see which of Kennedy's 6 teams we beat...

Congratulations to all who competed! Again, certificates will be mailed after the winter break due to schools not being in session. Blank tests + their answer keys will be released this week, so look out for that. ExpD and Geologic rubrics will also be sent out at that time. On Monday, students will be able to look over their graded tests.
Thank you so very much for attending this year's Pearl City Invitational!!

Anatomy and Physiology
Although this post is a little late I would like to provide some information about scores and the test in general.
Thanks to everyone who took time out of their weekend to compete in this event and all of the people who made this invitational possible! It was a blast writing and seeing all of your responses.
B +C Score distributions and histograms
Test comments
Division C
I tried to make the test long but application-based. This included a graphical/data analysis section for each system to try emphasizing that this event isn't all about rote memorization. I also tried making a few questions that required the use of a calculator since I haven't seen many anatomy tests in this rotation that use one.
Division B
This test was a shorter version of the C test. The case studies and a few short answer questions were removed to try to keep the test at a reasonable level.
Score Observations and general comments
P.S. Thank you to whoever made me laugh with an answer that said "FREEDOM!"

Score Observations and general comments
- Although Division C had a more moderate distribution, scores were definitely right-skewed for both divisions. For future tests, I will try to include a wider range of questions in terms of difficulty to accommodate many team levels. This might relieve the extremely tight scores in Division B (Some teams placed higher by a margin smaller than one point).
- One of my favorite questions on both tests was the muscle MC question about the sliding filament model- this question was tricky!
- I was glad to see some teams who answered the DEXA skeletal questions right, so nice job!
- As a last note, the Scilympiad software has significantly improved since BEARSO, the interface is much smoother and there are new details that help out with test writing and grading.
P.S. Thank you to whoever made me laugh with an answer that said "FREEDOM!"
