Congratulations to Boca High Team 1 for getting 1st overall at the UPenn invitational! It's an amazing improvement from Boca's already impressive 6th place placement last year. This team has consistently performed at or near the top at every invitational this year, and it'll be exciting to see how well they perform the rest of this year. First, Boca has to focus on Regionals next weekend, and then States at UF, but their performance this year indicates that they'll have a great second half of the season, as long as they can continue to put in the hard work and maintain the effort that's led to all their success so far.

Hi guys!

States are in three weeks, woo-hoo!
Does anyone have the results from the FAU Regionals by any chance? I know it may be a little early but just wanted to see.

So the FAU regional was today... and I'm very thrilled with how it went! It was a really fun time!

Results (technically posted, but there appears to be an error when downloading full results w/ school names)
Division C (I forgot B)
1. Boca Team 1 (47)
2. Archi Alpha (95)
3. Boca Team 2 (126)
4. Archi Beta (138)
5. Archi Gamma? (231)

Looks like the region is in our hands again. Archi put up a good fight, and I'm guessing the pull-and-tug relationship will continue on for a good time to come.

As for the tournament itself, I thought it was awesome, just like last year. The ES's were nice, the rooms and homerooms were nice and close to each other, and awards was run great. Thank you to all of the volunteers that helped out this year! It's amazing people like you guys that allow this tournament to continue :)

Overall, I think this tournament went great! I'm really excited to see what happens at states this year! Will be fun for sure ;)

Results are in the state website:

Congratulations to Boca! It was the biggest surprise of the decade. :o Well, maybe not! :?:

I wish the list showed the team names as well and not just numbers. But this is better than nothing I suppose! Now, the field is set for the state.

Like Demir said, yeah I wish we could translate team numbers right now but hopefully they can update it!

Congrats to Boca High on winning Regionals! This is Boca's first win in three years, and they had several amazing accomplishments on their way to the win:

-47 points is the lowest score for any Boca team at Regionals ever (it's about 20 points lower than the previous best Boca score)
-Boca medalled in every single event yesterday
-9 events got 1st place overall
-Boca swept 1st through 5th in Boomilever (I was a builder at Boca for 3 years and I've never seen any team even get close to sweeping the top 3, never mind the top 5)

If they keep up this consistency, effort, and hard work for the rest of the year, there should be no doubt that this team will continue to set their legacy as the best Boca High team yet.
