This has probably come up several times in previous iterations, but what would have happened if lumosity succeeded in killing himself?

Re: SciOly Assassination 114: The Amazing Race Death Edition
Alright so here are all the kill and ID clues for this version of Sassy.
First, in the intro it mentioned a large dog, which was a reference to bernard. Just thought I’d be funny that way Also the intro was a reference to the Oregon Trail which I loved playing (and do when I have the time ) The Promised Land is an indirect reference to Christianity through being related to Judaism because I’m Christian.
Clue 1: whythelongface/merge
Kill: The clues all revolved around the fact that merge lives in New Jersey. First, “can’t seem to ever get across the finish line yet thinks he can” is a reference to “Halfway there” which is a famous part of the song “Livin’ On a Prayer” by Bruce Springsteen, a famous New Jerseyian. The second part, “no matter how much recognition he gets for his accomplishments down the highway, he gets beaten by some guys called Miggy and Josh” was a reference to Mike Trout because he is considered the best player in baseball yet cannot get all these MVPs (Most Valuable Player) which were won in 2012 and 2013 by Miguel Cabrera and 2015 by Josh Donaldson. Mike Trout won the AL MVP in 2014 and 2016. “down the highway” is also somewhat of a reference to merge since you merge lanes on a highway.
ID: the clue “enjoys some wonderful ribs left over from Breslau” has to do with various dog-conditioning experiments done by Ivan Pavlov in Breslau. Pavlov is of course known for brain conditioning through the bell and food involved which indirectly relates to brain training in Lumosity, the brain training service. Lumosityfan has lumosity in its name. When merge is killed, the clue “mirror” relates to Astronomy through light and its properties. “big earthquake” and “flood” refers to Dynamic Planet because I wrote a test for Dynamic Planet for New Jersey States 2017 which I talked about doing on the IRC.
Clue 2: syo_astro
Kill: 23-11-23-26-12-9-5-19-3-3 decodes using a code in which A=1, B=2, etc. to get WKWZLIESCC, which is two acronyms side-by-side: WKWZ and LIESCC. WKWZ is a comedy radio station in Syosset, New York and LIESCC stands for the Long Island East Side Comedy Club, both of which Judd Apatow was involved with in high school. He went to Syosset High School in which syo_astro also went to high school.
ID: “rain can” refers to my involvement in the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail, and Snow Network a while back which I talked about on Jeopardy, an appearance of which I talk about from time to time. Also in the kill clue it mentioned 0.989 which is the sum of the batting averages of Jose Altuve, Carlos Correa, and George Springer as of July 20, 2017, which is when this whole thing started, three of the Houston Astros’ All-Stars. “weird flying device” refers to Helicopters, which I supervised at the 2017 Princeton Invitational (and ranted about eventually cough New Jersey States cough)
Clue 3: Fibonacci924
Kill: Ok, so I was being very literal with this clue. Fibonacci is a reference to Fibonacci numbers and so I did 9+24 to get 33, another Fibonacci number in that sequence. 33 can refer to 1933 which is when the 21st Amendment was passed banning Prohibition.
ID: Pennsylvania, Ohio, Russia refers to instances with voting machine tabulator issues in presidential elections. Thomas Edison made the first kind of voting tabulation machines but was rejected because of the heavy party politics at the time. Edison is the namesake of Edison, NJ, where I live. Also “a dream to run as if you were chased by Southern bullies” is a reference to Forrest Gump and the statement “Run, Forrest, run!” which I love a lot. (Ok sorry about this part: not as easily to find )
Clue 4: NeilMehta
Kill: So Neil has a younger brother as we know called Aarush and I searched up the meaning of Aarush. I got the morning ray of the western sun. That’s where you get “sunlight” and “in the direction 90 degrees counterclockwise from the direction where moss grows on trees” and “certain desired partner”. Moss grows on the north of trees and 90 degrees counterclockwise from that direction is west. The partner part gets you to NeilMehta.
ID: “bunch of lava” is also a reference to Dynamic Planet
Clue 5: PandaWeasley
Kill: Panda is a reference to the east because of China and the east part of the Earth and Weasley refers to Ron Weasley which relates to Harry Potter and quidditch, which is where the “flying broom with two goalposts and a bunch of balls with wings” comes into play.
ID: Scratch comes from scratch which is part of Game On where I have expressed my opinions about in chats. Also smashing a clock refers to It’s About Time and the clocks you need to make by yourself to measure a certain interval of time. I competed in It’s About Time at the 2014 New Jersey State Tournament.
Clue 6: Lumosityfan
Kill: 1965-04-09 is the first game at the Astrodome, $35,000,000 is how much it cost to built, and wonderful fake grass with black beads that’ll annoy your feet is a reference to AstroTurf. Roy Hofheinz was the judge of the Harris County court system who helped out with this endeavour. My avatar is the Astrodome, thus why Lumosityfan is the target.
ID: Well, the road trip obv. Also lose command refers to baseball which I love a lot (As you guys know already by now )
Clue 7: Tailsfan101
Kill: Well this was a reference to Tails, the Sonic character, and Idaho, which is where Tailsfan101 lives. “dihydrogen monoxide” refers to water, “curves like an equation with a positive second derivative” refers to the mathematical shape of the concave up, which is like a pot of water. “between Oregon and Montana” refers to Idaho geographically. Also Yuji Uekawa named Tails in Sonic Adventure, thus why I said for the travelers to go on an adventure.
ID: None obv because, well, I was accused at this clue
So there you have it! Hope you enjoyed that wonderful and fun game (at least for me ) of Sassy!

Killing me was possibly the most convoluted process any Sassy has contrived, I am sure.

Oh come now, that clue was really good. As an officer, one of the first things you should do with any number string is check:daydreamer0023 wrote:Tis okay. That's how I felt when East killed me. - Can it be a phone number
- Can it be geographic coordinates
- Can it be a date
- Is it a cipher
Even if nobody ever figured out that the dates pointed to a song, the officers still figured out the connection to Heisenberg. At which case, possibly the first thing you should do is figure out if anyone has any direct connection to Heisenberg. Not "he was a physicist", otherwise why would I have chosen Heisenberg specifically. There is a reason I chose him specifically, and chances are that reason was his namesake principle. At which point, anyone who knew that they themselves had put a direct reference to said principle in their signature should have begun to suspect.
I do concede that it was not an easy clue. However, the officers did get close, and there were many ways to get to the possible conclusion. Which, when comparing to the clue from this game in question (which by the way, definitely isn't the most convoluted clue process in sassy history), offers a clear difference.
Sorry, you may continue your post-game discussion.

I did like the clue though, despite the fact I got killed. And I realized directly afterwards that I should have looked at my location reference...which refers to the Heisenburg uncertainty position. Oh welp.EastStroudsburg13 wrote:Oh come now, that clue was really good. As an officer, one of the first things you should do with any number string is check:daydreamer0023 wrote:Tis okay. Not only that, but I also gave GCS as an additional clue that the second pair of strings were coordinates. In addition, the "Don’t do a sing and dance; there’s a time and place for everything" followed a parallel to the two sets of coordinates; left side of the comma was for the first line, right side of the comma was for the second line.
