And she thoguht that you were supposed to get 10 minutes overall for al eigth groups, and gave each group only 30 seconds to present! And we presented to everyone so the last group got to hear everyone else first, and they could use their ideas(they got first ). It was not a good experience!

And this was at a State competition? I hope you arbitrated, at least, 'cause that isn't cool. The supervisor cannot just "think" up new rules.

thanks, but i was looking for the way to find horizontal flow of groundwater, not vertical. in the test at states it showed three well's heads and told you to calculated horizontal flow of groundwater. I have seen the site that gives a whole step-by-step explanation but i cant find it now.

What kind of rocks are you all using for the unconfined aquifer?

I think that any rock with a pretty large amount of pore space will do. We use gravel.
