I actually find it incredibly easy. If you know how the various vowels, consonants, and diphthongs are spelled, then you can say the word.

Noob, brush strokes are so easy to learn. Shang, xia, zhou, you, pie, na. What's hard is vocabulary. Once you start writing alot, you don't really need to think about it. me, even worse...dropped out of chinese school at grade 3... >.<
and yeah but the order is annoying...the brush strokes are easy, but chinese people (teachers) are so particular about order >.< and im not a natural born artist, so my words look sorta messed up
