The Society for the Discontinuation of the Pentathlon
I'm trying starting a movement, kind of. You know how Pentathlon sucks? Well me too, so I suggest that we try to get at least a couple regions to boycott it. In order for it to work, every single team at a particular region would have to take a no-show for Pentathalon. This would require co-operation and trust between teams. I'm calling it the SDP, for short. If you think Pentathlon sucks, tell you coaches to tell other coaches in the region about the SDP. Yes, I know that this is a stupid idea and it'll never work, but it's worth a shot, right? Right. Share your ideas and comments here, but no flaming, please. Division B only, of course.

Re: The Society for the Discontinuation of the Pentathlon
I think it's a good idea. We definitely need the coaches to co-operate on this one, though.

I exist!! I'm a sporty nerd!!
I would do this but if I even suggested this my coach would eat my soul and I'm not even kidding.

It's all fun and games until someone gets their fingers stuck together with super glue, then it's just funny!

Great. I'm hoping that, within any particular region, we can get a large number of the teams to co-operate, and that will force the more stubborn teams to do so as well, just because they'll be afraid that they'll get booed at the stage. On the other hand, I'll bet a lot of coaches will view this as poor sportsmanship and will be adamantly opposed to it.

Re: The Society for the Discontinuation of the Pentathlon
Our region isn't even doing Pentathlon in the first place. I'm not sure if it's a boycott or what, but they are doing all the events but Pentathlon.
It sounds like a good idea, I don't like pentathlon much either, but I'm not sure how much it'll work. I mean, there are so many regions out there. If a state did it however, they might take more notice. That would take much more coordination, though.

This would be a great idea. There was a lot of backtalk going on between teams when I did this event, ichaelm wrote:I'm trying starting a movement, kind of. You know how Pentathlon sucks?
