LSS Size

The rule 4.c says:
The LSS has a horizontal flat surface 56 ± 1.0 cm by 35 ± 1.0 cm enclosed by a 2 ± 0.5 cm thick wall.

Is the 56 cm x 35 cm measured from inside the walls or outside? Meaning, does it include the 2x2cm walls, or will the whole LSS end up 60 cm x 39 cm with the walls?

The following information is an opinion, not an official clarification.

I interpreted the walls to be not included in the 56x35cm. It says "enclosed by a 2cm thick wall." If the walls were included in the 56x35cm, the "horizontal flat surface" would not meet the rules' requirements.
