Most teams use the kits at
https://freedomflightmodels.com/. He hasn't updated them for this year's rules yet, but they tend to be the preferred one (and the best widely available kit). Some other teams prefer to build their own models, but at the end of the day, this event is about how much time you spend testing and experimenting with different variables to achieve the best outcome.

My team makes their own because Regionals are January. Kits are coming soon form several sources. We already flew yesterday for both WS and EWS.
But, FFM and J&H are the biggies right now, and have very well executed planes and instructions. I have to throw a plug for Laser Cut planes as well, they are simple and build fast. Links to kit suppliers can be found on the NFFS resources page for SO,
https://freeflight.org/join-learn-fly/s ... resources/.
If you prefer not to wait for the kits to hit the market, Bill Gowen, a renowned indoor flyer, has already published his Finny 2022 plan, also linked on the NFFS resource page. Bill's planes have always flown well, but you need to source your supplies.

My team just got out kit from Guru Engineering this week and started putting it together. We haven't had a chance to fly it yet but so far it looks good.
