All of the Regional Tournaments are currently planned to be part of the SoCal Joint-Regional Tournament. Most Regionals will be using the Satellite Tournament Model on Saturday, Feb 26, 2022. In the Satellite Tournament Model, teams will be competing at their own school under the supervision of their coaches. On tournament day, the written tests will be provided through the Scilympiad platform and the construction events will be demonstrated at your own school through video calls with the Event Supervisor.

As safety and health guidelines and host site availability change between now and February, we may change the model to a Hybrid-Satellite Model or a Mini Model. If there are changes to the model, we will update you with the information. We will finalize the tournament model on January 7, 2022.

The 2022 SoCal Events and schedule are available here. The schedule and event conflicts are based on the National Tournament schedule found at the end of the rules manual. Click here to view how each model of tournament will affect if the event will be a medal only event or if it’ll count toward the team total.
