Coaches and students,
Sierra Vista Science Olympiad is proud to announce the 2nd annual Sierra Vista SO Division B Invitational on Saturday, February 5th, 2022 in-person at Northwood High School. The tournament is planned for a traditional format if conditions allow for one, but there are protocols in place to make the switch to a virtual format if necessary.
Registration will open on October 1st at 12 PM PDT on https://scilympiad.com/ca-svso and close on December 3rd. Schools may register up to two teams at the time of registration with the option to add a third team to the waitlist. We will cap registration at 50 teams, and if spots remain after December 3rd, we will add more teams from the waitlist. The registration fee will be $185 per team, but if the cost is prohibitive, please contact us and we would be glad to work it out.
As we have done very successfully for the past two years, all tests will be written by State and National level medalists, professionals, and competitors from high levels of the International Science Olympiads. Coaches do not need to contribute to writing the tests, but each team will have to indicate events that they would like to send volunteers to supervise if needed. Medals will be awarded to the top 6 teams in each event, and trophies to the top 6 schools overall.
If you have any questions, please email us at sierravistasoinvite@gmail.com. We hope to see you in Irvine this February.
