time to brag for a sec
- Brookings is the first non-Yankton team to sweep both DivB and DivC
- MMS became the first non-Yankton team to win Div B
- BHS: first-ever perfect score at SD State, possibly lowest score at a state competition ever? Not sure about this
Anyway, I'm v proud of both teams, it's a great ending to 7 years of trying to get Brookings to nats c:

Considering SD only held 16 events, it could very well be the lowest score ever at a state tournament. There might have been lower in really small states in the 80s and 90s who didn't hold as many events, but a perfect 16 is still very impressive, even with just two competitors. I believe it's the lowest state score anyone here is aware of.
Up to my knowledge, the best state scores in recent history are Mounds View HS (MN) in 2018 with a 27 (worst event was dropped from score, would have been 30 otherwise), and (flex) Treasure Valley Homeschool (C) in 2019 with a 28, both out of a typical 23 events.
