See the objective is to not have every link be a rick-roll. That's not as fun. No one would click links! By having only some that are rick-rolls, it gives it more incentive.

Agreed. And in that spirit, you all should click on the "Rate my tests" link in my signature! It's not a rickroll, I promise. (The only way to know is to try, right?)

You can tell if someone is trying to rickroll you by hovering your cursor over the link and seeing if it's YT. This challenge will be way to wayy too easy if people don't start using bitl.y

Also, maybe this should just be a collection of rick rolls from across the forums - perhaps quoting rickroll posts and sticking them on this thread to give the users credit?

These posts are basically gonna start mimicking the ones that spambots try to post (except when we stop them from doing that :p)
