Digital Measurement Tools?

I was wondering if we were allowed to use digital tools that are not apart of the buggy. For example, using a computer for tables or a digital protractor.

Rule 3. f. states "Electric/electronic tools of any sort, except a stand-alone calculator, are prohibited." Therefore, the only electronic device that you may have, excluding the buggy, is a stand-alone calculator of any type.

Theres nothing wrong with asking questions. In fact, calculators are allowed. Correct me if I'm wrong, but a calculator is a digital tool.

I was just wondering because in order for our buggy to go from our current score of -33 to our desired score of -41, we need the aide of a digital caliper.

I apologize if I sounded a bit aggressive - I misunderstood your question. Though, I am a bit confused - is a dial caliper not accurate enough in your case? It could be a good investment to look into a Mitutoyo, if you are really going for that reliable accuracy.
