Parasitology B (NY Trial)

Post by builderguy135 »

I'll start.
Image

1) Identify this parasite.

2) This parasite is almost always found in what organ? What specific part of this organ is it normally found in?

3) What is a vector for this parasite?

Note: I masked the image to prevent reverse image searches :D

It's vector is the Tabanid Fly, and it is located in the eye. I believe it is the cornea based on an image, but I am not sure.

What parasite is this?

What is unique about this parasite (in relation to it's intermediate host)?

How is this relevant for its survival?

By unique, I mean a major alteration to the host's lifestyle, but specifically for Toxoplasma.
