Re: Junkyard Challenge(B)
Kinda hard to do that before that are rules, particularly since DH just told us JYC would change a lot

Ik the rules havent been realeased yet, but wuld u suggest this event for someone who's not that great at building, but is good with ideas?

Re: Junkyard Challenge(B)
I did JYC C this year, along with trajectory and EV. I can say that both trajectory and EV looked good and worked well. Junkyard did not look that good. It was not that well built, and it looked like, well, it came from a junkyard. But it turned out to be the most successful event of the three, because we had a good concept and a sufficient implementation.Helix_Nebula_Freak wrote:wuld u suggest this event for someone who's not that great at building, but is good with ideas?
So, yes, I think junkyard challenge is the perfect event for someone who is strong with engineering concepts, but is inexperienced or not very good at the actual construction.
Good luck!

Thanks...
I'm on the fence about doing it, but I think I'll give it a shot...

Re: Junkyard Challenge(B)
I can't believe this event came into B division!! It is extremely complicated from what I've heard from EASTstroudsburg13.

Re: Junkyard Challenge(B)
Well, wen I did it as a Trial, u brought dis box of stuff into the event, nd they give u a task. U, during the ellotted time, must construct a device with the materials in ur box, and then go on to test the device during the same time period... mite b different now tat its official tho...

Re: Junkyard Challenge(B)
sounds kind of like experimental design
that would be hard to practice for but i think that that might be a good event for me
