Dowel Height?
Very basic question:
There is no minimum height for the wooden dowel, right? I couldn't find any reference to one in the rules. Having always needed a ~20cm or so high dowel in the past for vehicle-based events, this feels kind of strange to me. Just looking to confirm that this is correct.

Re: Dowel Height?
Right! I thought this was weird as well, but as it turns out the dowel just needs to be within 1cm of the floor and the height doesn't matter.Orion66 wrote:Very basic question:

Im really confused. The dowel has to be within a cm of the track? How do you do that?

Re: Dowel Height?
Like stick the dowel somewhere on your vehicle (with glue, tape, whatever) so the bottom of the dowel, vertically, is less than 1 cm off the ground.Otkrlj wrote:Im really confused. The dowel has to be within a cm of the track? How do you do that?

Re: Dowel Height?
Don't understand how to comply with 1cm from track and perpendicular to track rules. Seems like the mouse traps would then need to be around 1cm from floor?

Re: Dowel Height?
We are seporating our mousetraps and putting the dowel through the gap so it will be 1cm off the ground when the dowel is perpendicular to the floormadeline.hartlage wrote:Don't understand how to comply with 1cm from track and perpendicular to track rules. Re: Dowel Height?
Will the dowel be touching the cup as it pushes it along?Otkrlj wrote:We are seporating our mousetraps and putting the dowel through the gap so it will be 1cm off the ground when the dowel is perpendicular to the floormadeline.hartlage wrote:Don't understand how to comply with 1cm from track and perpendicular to track rules.
