Re: Birds of Feather/Ornithology
Does anyone know where I can get a national list of the birds that will be used?
Does anyone know where I can get the trial event rules???
My guess is this even is the exact same thing as A+R, except for with Birds and not Amphibians + Reptiles.

Re: Birds of Feather/Ornithology
The list hasn't been given yet, my guess is it will be revealed around the time the rules are. Lol, good to see BC is working as hard as Strath Haven.crabnebula143 wrote:Does anyone know where I can get a national list of the birds that will be used?

Re: Birds of Feather/Ornithology
I think that I'll probably do this event next year. To me birds are pretty interesting.

Re: Birds of Feather/Ornithology
I think it sounds interesting, but I've never done identification events, so I likely will not do this one.

Re: Birds of Feather/Ornithology
ID events are my kind of thing...I did A+R last year, and now that I've semi developed a work ethic, I'm taking on fossils and birds this year, plus a few events.
Also, thanks for the list, it'll be helpful for a starting base.

Re: Birds of Feather/Ornithology
I didn't do A+R last year, but I birds seem like a cool thing to do. I like ID events. I did fossils this year (coach made me 3 weeks before regionals) but I just wasn't that good or interested in that. Birds to me are way more interesting than fossils. Birds are sweet!

Re: Birds of Feather/Ornithology
I was interested in this event, but if it's just an ID event I doubt I would be good at it. I would love to have a bird event that dealt with birds' flight, anatomy, and evolutionary history (Archeopteryx is really fun to say), but memorizing a bunch of different names seems boring to me.

Re: Birds of Feather/Ornithology
Well, A+R was 50/50. Up to 50% Identification, and the rest was on the traits, behavior, etc.
