Same, although, maybe it was that leaf that I mis-interpreted (when I sniffed it) during ecology....

To find out the smell, which is probably a good identification characteristic for leaves. I dunno though, I'm not good at Ecology and have never done it.

maybe you could sniff out the tree scent? or the sap? I've done Ecology, but not that in-depth.
