Re: Ornithology B/C
Thank You! Also do you need to have notes on subspecies? Wikipedia has information on them so I'm not sure if I should include them in my notes.

Re: Ornithology B/C
Probably. On the rules it says "...migration, distribution, ..." which can vary based on different subspecies. But I would just do the subspecies that inhabit North America instead of other parts of the world.
For example, for the crested caracara, I would just put info for the northern crested caracara(which lives in Texas and Central America) instead of the southern crested caracara(which lives in South America)

Re: Ornithology B/C
So did anyone figure out the thing about screech owl? Are we just studying Megascops in general?

Re: Ornithology B/C Notes~
I have notes written on the origins of the birds common name and/or it's previous names/nicknames, but i chose not to right anything about the origins on its scientific name.... Is there questions being asked about that sorta thing or...?

Re: Ornithology B/C Notes~
In my personal opinion, origin of common and scientific names is way way too specific

Re: Ornithology B/C Notes~
I've seen it before on fossils tests so ornith should be the same.

Re: Ornithology B/C
what kinds of things would qualify as a field guide? Would natgeo Complete Birds of North America count?
Columbia University. Maybe starting an invitational. No promises.

Re: Ornithology B/C
All the rules say that would qualify as a field guide is a commercially produced field guide. And yes. It's a commercially produced field guide so it should count.
