Re: Scores?
Yeah I can see it happening though, especially if people have metal tube benders like IvanGeJionPark wrote:600 points ??!!
Amazing, just from gaps.

Re: Scores?
yep 600 is definitely possible but like shrewd said it will be insanely inconsistent. It's hard to calibrate a rollercoaster with like 120cm of gaps and make it work consistently.

Re: Scores?
The raw scores for all PA regionals came out the other day and the highest anyone got at their regionals was 328 by Springhouse MS.

Re: Scores?
328 is still pretty good. I am not sure if anyone is really getting consistent scores over 400. I can believe 328. I have seen some teams in Ohio get over 300, but not over 400 to my knowledge.Anomaly wrote:The raw scores for all PA regionals came out the other day and the highest anyone got at their regionals was 328 by Springhouse MS.

Re: Scores?
Its def possible to get consistent above 400, above 500 is where things get really trippy (idk if its possible, pretty sure its not)
Mid 300s won't fare well in the long run

Re: Scores?
That's like getting 5 gaps that each has a measure of 100 cm.
It still looks unusual for me to see a gap that long, and have the ball successful land to the next track.

Re: Scores?
It's 5 points per cm of gap, so a score of 500 would mean a grand total of 100 cm of gap, not 100 cm for each of the 5 gaps.
Plus, every time the ball is in contact with the track or anything else, it loses energy, so it's most likely that the best gap scores will come from two jumps. There is no way to fit more than about a 60 cm gap for a single jump even if you go diagonally. So to get more than 300 points for the gap score, you need to do two jumps at least. If you do more than two jumps, you are losing energy. It might be possible, but I'm skeptical.
Like I say, we haven't seen scores above 400 here in Ohio, to my knowledge, and there are some pretty good Ohio teams here. Maybe some teams have improved over the last several weeks, I don't know.

Re: Scores?
The only one I have heard that has more than 400 points is IvanGe. Mine gets a little above 300 from gaps. (63 cm)Crtomir wrote:It's 5 points per cm of gap, so a score of 500 would mean a grand total of 100 cm of gap, not 100 cm for each of the 5 gaps.
