Re: Towers B/C
He gave so detailed and complete responses and he understood the whole process of build a balsa structure.

Re: Towers B/C
He was known as Balsa Man on the Balsa Structure Forums.TheChiScientist wrote:Who is Len Joeris? He was before I joined so I am a little clueless.
Also if you can I would ask. If it's written in pen it should be fine...
I'm a little disappointed in you TheChiScientist. He was the powerhouse behind the Towers forum, and he is the reason me and many other competitors can actually build decent towers. But no hard feelings .

Re: Towers B/C
I also joined kinda late but I read a bunch of his posts and they were like super detailed with a TON of info. All of his posts were really long with a lot of building advice and replied to pretty much every question asked with a huge paragraph with explanations and stuff.TheChiScientist wrote:Yes, I get that...

Re: Towers B/C
Was the testing device for towers tilted? I heard that many teams go significantly less than they expected and broke in the same place. Gelinas also got less than we were expecting. Is this a coincidence?

Re: Towers B/C
My tower did terrible too. It scored 500 less than expected. I wouldn't be surprised if it was tilted.wzhang5460 wrote:Was the testing device for towers tilted? Re: Towers B/C
Ours seemed to break a little earlier than expected. One side of bucket filled faster/higher.

Re: Towers B/C
Does uneven loading matter? As far as I know, because it is ultimately hanging from a chain with a pivot point at the connection to the bucket, this shouldn’t matter. I could be wrong though, feel free to correct me
