That really stinks for all of the teams that have worked for months to practice for Science Olympiad and then were just told that they can't go any further and that they have to stop preparing for competitions. This would especially be bad for the last years on all of the teams that their state was canceled.

Yeah, Michigan does have two bids. Though if Nationals is still held I could see Indiana getting extras because they normally have decent sign ups and 4 bids theoretically have already been freed up.

Only 3: Maine hasn't canceled yet I believe. Those three (based on state population) would go to Texas, Missouri, and Indiana.

Well doesn’t NY have two bids?
Wait I think that’s still three because one SoCal and two NY

*This is assuming SoCal forfeits their bids as well which I doubt will happen*

If Indiana state were to be cancelled, would we follow NY and not send any teams or would it be lowest regional score or how could they decide? Obviously all speculation since there’s no precedent.

I think that there's a good chance it would go in alphabetical order.

Avon’s already out so Benton it is! Smart.
