That really stinks for all of the teams that have worked for months to practice for Science Olympiad and then were just told that they can't go any further and that they have to stop preparing for competitions. This would especially be bad for the last years on all of the teams that their state was canceled.Flavorflav wrote: ↑March 8th, 2020, 3:07 pm New York States B & C competitions are officially cancelled.

Re: Indiana 2020
Yeah, Michigan does have two bids. Though if Nationals is still held I could see Indiana getting extras because they normally have decent sign ups and 4 bids theoretically have already been freed up.BennyTheJett wrote: ↑March 8th, 2020, 3:03 pm Michigan already has 2 bids.... I think that if they are going to award additional bids from states that didn't have a tournament the bids will be awarded to states that don't have 2 bids yet, such as Missouri.

Re: Indiana 2020
Only 3: Maine hasn't canceled yet I believe. Those three (based on state population) would go to Texas, Missouri, and Indiana.

*This is assuming SoCal forfeits their bids as well which I doubt will happen*

Re: Indiana 2020
If Indiana state were to be cancelled, would we follow NY and not send any teams or would it be lowest regional score or how could they decide? Obviously all speculation since there’s no precedent.

I think that there's a good chance it would go in alphabetical order.allofgarden wrote: ↑March 9th, 2020, 6:56 am If Indiana state were to be cancelled, would we follow NY and not send any teams or would it be lowest regional score or how could they decide?
