2. This rock forms under (low / high)-grade metamorphism.
3. What is the parent rock?
4. If this specimen were to have underwent a slightly-greater degree of metamorphism, what rock would it become?

2. Low-grade (just like my GPA, am I right?)
3. Shale
4. Phyllite

The answer to 2 is Mica. Look at pictures of Lepidolite; you can see how it's layered like other variations of mica like muscovite and biotite. Anyone who wants to can go now.
