Re: Pentathalon
THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE STUPIDEST EVENT THEY EVER CAME UP WITH! GUESS WHAT THE MOST CHALLENGING QUESTION WAS IN TRIAL? THROW A BEAN BAG THROUGH A HOOP AND POINT TO YOUR KIDNEY! MY BROTHER COULD MAKE UP A BETTER EVENT THAN THAT AND HE IS CURRENTLY YELLING AT THE TELEVISION!

Re: Pentathalon
@everybody
If you are currently participating in Pentathlon in Division B: have you had a chance to look at the rules yet?
General Tip: When you have an event, you should read the rules as if it is your job. Read them early, continue to read them. Don't over-analyze them. Most rules for events are fairly well written and have generalized scoring recommendations. This should give you a good look at what you'll be thrown. And this applies to every event.
So, if you've been "working on stuff" and haven't looked at the rules yet, there should be warning flags going up everywhere. You may not even be doing the right thing if you haven't looked at the rules. Ask your coach for a copy, and get reading.
Does this mean I know what the event is going to be like? Goodness no! But you won't either until you read what is offered.
Also, please use your other resources: http://newyorkscioly.org/SOPages/Events/Pentathlon.html

Re: Pentathalon
Uh, this whole forum is about how it is IMPOSSIBLE to actually TRAIN for this event. Maybe just review some old textbooks if you really want to.
